Days of Grace Vintage

Vintage lace dress designer, Linda Duriez, is returning to our Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair again this March, and she’s bringing more goodies from her treasure store.

Unique lace gowns will share rail space with original period pieces and new designers inspired by archive styling. Add to this headwear, antique lace and gossamer fine tulle veils and accessories…

You'll want to come prepared to try on and find that dress you've been looking for.

Days of Grace Vintage also have a limited collection of exquisite lace and jewel embellished shoes by Diane Hassall - the perfect finishing touch and at very special prices on the day.

So whether you’re looking for something vintage or vintage-inspired, perhaps even vintage re-created, Linda will be at our Fair with some beautiful dresses to showcase from both her shops, Days of Grace Vintage in Budleigh Salterton and Pirouette in Exeter (by appointment only).  There’s something for everyone, but you’ll have to be quick as there’s only one of each gorgeous dress.

For delicate gowns, beautiful veils, handmade jewellery and tiaras... make sure you don’t miss Days of Grace Vintage on March 10th

The Dandy Cabin

If you’re looking for something truly unique for a special event, then The Dandy Cabin  - a mobile drinks bar, a beautiful, head-turning vintage teardrop trailer, may be the very thing.

Let The Dandy Cabin be your outdoor Champagne bar for the day. She’s the ideal place from which to serve champagne and, as every vintage lover knows, any good glass of bubbly should be served in the finest original Babycham glasses, all available to hire with the Dandy. She can even be supplied with her own Dandy waiting staff!

The Dandy Cabin also doubles up as a hot drinks bar - organic, Fairtrade teas, fresh coffee and yummy hot chocolate all served up with the best free-range, buttery cakes.

The Dandy’s owner is vintage aficionado, and co-founder of Bristol Vintage, Katie Daniels. With a background in Film, TV and event planning, Katie’s little black book of contacts is seriously impressive. She’s found the very best local cake suppliers, and sister-company, Bristol Vintage, can provide vintage china for up to 300 people as well as an array of wonderful vintage props including gramophones, cake-stands and tea trolleys.

They love what they do here at The Dandy Cabin. They want to spread the love, and always make sure they're decent, both to the planet and to the people who work with them. They only use Fairtrade, organic teas and coffee, and their disposable cups are all bio-degradable. Plus, they only work with independent local suppliers who share their values.

The Dandy Cabin draws a crowd wherever she goes. Katie's seen people hanging out of their cars on the motorway to snap a photo! The Dandy is perfect for weddings, tea parties, festivals, corporate events and even childrens’ tea parties. She can also be hired as a prop for TV and film. You can catch up with The Dandy Cabin’s adventures on Twitter, or simply book direct by calling 07816 372 017 or emailing thedandycabin@icloud.com - but make sure you catch The Dandy Cabin in action at our next Fair - Caterers with a Curve at the Zoo on March 10th!

Cox & Baloney

Nestled on Cheltenham Road in Cotham, Bristol is a boutique full to the brim of vintage-inspired gems.  With everything you could possibly need for creating a truly vintage life-style, from clothing (ladies and gents) to furniture, homewares, a dressmaker, Annie Sloan paints and of course, a gorgeous vintage-style tearoom next door – Cox & Baloney is the place to be.

For owners Amy and Joney, it doesn’t stop there – they offer vintage-style hen parties and small, bespoke weddings in their tearoom!

A hen party with Cox & Baloney begins with the very best tea and deliciously gooey homemade cakes. Did you know they have their own tea brand and blends? There’s Babycham from vintage teacups too, all served in your own private room and followed by a workshop of your choice. You could try your hand at making knickers, nipple tassels, hair fascinators, tutus or having a vintage Hollywood-style hair and make-up lesson or even a naked butler! They’ll organise everything you need and make sure you have a wonderful time. You can even let your hair down and try on as many vintage outfits as your heart desires. Of course, if you need a little assistance, they'll be around to help you achieve exactly the right look.

Come and meet the Cox & Baloney team at our next Fair.  They’ll be on hand to answer all your questions and will have a number of vintage-inspired treasures to show you - everything they stock has been lovingly hand-picked and is either original vintage, designer or limited edition.

You can find Cox & Baloney on Facebook and Twitter as well as in store, so if you’re planning a hen party with a vintage twist or a small, bespoke wedding – they’re the ones to call.
