BRISTOL VINTAGE - THE END OF AN ERA!

I have momentous news!

Following my post of a couple of months ago announcing the sale of the business, Bristol Vintage is now under new ownership.

I have so many happy memories of the last few years - from the very early days when Bristol Vintage was just an idea that Katie and I shared, to our launch event - Katie's wonderful wedding; collaborating with Aunties Vintage on the Clifton Hill Costume and Textiles launch; happy hours spent searching for the most beautiful crockery and props, and some of our truly wonderful brides and grooms, as well as fabulous birthday parties, hen parties and even some very beautiful wakes.  Not forgetting our very own Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair (more of which later).

I've met some amazing people - clients and other people in the wedding industry - many of whom will be friends for life and I want to say thank you to them all for making the last 8 years such fun!

Watch out for our next post where Zoe Fletcher, the new owner of Bristol Vintage, will say hello.  I'm so excited to see where Zoe takes the company and wish her all the luck in the world and hope she has as much fun as we have!

Here are a few of my favourite memories!

BAKE MY CAKE - BESPOKE AND BEAUTIFUL WEDDING CAKES

Emma Buston has been obsessed with baking since she was a child and her love of making all kinds of puddings, pastries and baked goodies led to a degree in Catering and Hospitality Management.  Working her way through the catering world from Commis Chef to Kitchen Manager, Emma always followed her passion for food.

After having her children, through her love of cake making, Emma taught herself to create beautiful sugar flowers and combining these with her favourite cake recipes led to her business, Bake My Cake, where she creates the most beautiful centrepiece wedding cakes as well as stunning birthday and occasion cakes.

Emma has an incredible range of flavours and, as she says "Wedding cakes are very personal and need to be just right" and she loves meeting potential clients for a one on one tasting, brainstorming, cake design and quote session at her cake studio in Ham Green.

Take a look at what her very happy customers say and you'll be very tempted!
