POP UP PARLOUR - DIVINE VINTAGE MAKEOVERS

"Pop Up" Parlour specialise in vintage makeovers for hen parties, vintage fairs, photoshoots, events and, of course, weddings!  If you're looking for a memorable, glamorous and chic pampering experience these are your gals!

Founded by Inma Azorin and Lou Foley, who have years of experience of working on music videos, editorials and commercial projects together.  Pop Up Parlour was born from their desire to find a project combining their love of vintage and glamour and the pleasure they get from making others look and feel fabulous!

With a passion for their craft, the ladies offer 'Divine Vintage Makeovers' from all eras from the 20's onwards and if you fancy something a bit different they also organise vintage styling and hair accessory-making workshops, including a Boho hair experience, flower garland workshop, a dazzling-Deco prohibition party or a 'Mad Men' Manhattan shindig!

Over the last six years Pop Up Parlour has grown into a collaboration of 30 plus industry standard, freelance make-up artists and hair stylists who are highly experienced in catering for all events from an intimate soiree to an epic adventure!

Proud to be the leaders in vintage makeovers in the South-West, they have recently started offering their services across London and can be tempted further afield so do please enquire!

On the day of the Fair they will be offering makeovers to guests of the Fair ... and you could even have your photo taken afterwards at our adjoining photo wall!

CHOCOLATE DELORES - DIVINE WEDDING CAKE FOR THE CHOCOLATE CONNOISEUR

So here's the dilemma - you want a stunning wedding cake but you adore chocolate cake and you really don't want to compromise.  Well, meet Chocolate Delores Cakes, one of our favourite cake makers and chocolatiers - et voila! your problem's solved!

The wonderful Lizzie Melling, the name behind the brand, has been baking since childhood so it was a natural progression to work for one of Britain's leading organic chocolate cake makers where she learnt the art of the Chocolatier and trained in couverture.  After 12 years refining her art, Lizzie founded Chocolate Delores Cakes and has been loving every minute of it for the last 6 years!

Lizzie loves creating her fantastical, glamorous cakes but not only do Chocolate Delores Cakes look out of this world, they taste absolutely divine!  The main ingredient is a deliciously dark chocolate and each cake is soaked overnight in Port before being layered with Madagascan vanilla buttercream and homemade plum jam. After that, using white, dark or milk chocolate, master chocolatier Lizzie gets to work designing.

THE DAFFODIL - FOR FILM STAR WEDDING DAY GLAMOUR!

Let me introduce you to the star of our Wedding Fair - The Daffodil!

I had been looking for a venue in Cheltenham for a while.  There are some  beautiful buildings but I wanted something that made my heart thump and my senses go WOW!  A friend had mentioned The Daffodil to me so I googled it and got quite excited.  But I've been disappointed before, so I made an appointment to meet up with their Events Manager and take a look.

The minute I saw the frontage I knew I was going to love it ... and walking into the building just knocked my socks off!  I am a MASSIVE film fan ... but my true love is vintage films - black and white, period films - glamorous, gorgeous and my style inspiration.  Well The Daffodil reflects all of that.  I was so thrilled when they said they'd like to host my vintage wedding fair.

Cheltenham's first purpose built picture palace, opening its doors to the public on the 5th October 1922, its Art Deco style was an instant success.  It was the height of glamour, with an upper circle lounge area for relaxing pre-feature, perfume vending spritzers in the ladies powder room and the country's first 'kissing seats' designed for courting couples.

The advent of television caused it's closure and, after several different incarnations restaurateur Mark Stephens fell in love with its potential in late 1996.    The Daffodil was lovingly restored with many original features reinstated and is now one of Britain's most unique and dramatic dining rooms.  

A dazzling open kitchen has replaced the silver screen, displaying a different kind of theatre, overseen by renowned Head Chef, Tom Rains, serving daily and seasonal specials combined with well established favourites.  The restaurant has established a great reputation for producing delicious and unpretentious classic dishes using the finest seasonal ingredients.

Not only that ... The Daffodil is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, with a bespoke planning service to provide everything you need for a fairytale day.  Up to 140 guests can dine on the day or you can have a more cozy, intimate affair.  Whatever you want, the Daffodil can truly make you feel like a film star for a day!

On the 21st, the fully licensed cocktail bar, set in the mezzanine circle balcony and overlooking the hustle and bustle below, will be serving their Matinee Menu so, when you're overwhelmed by all the gorgeous exhibits, why not sit back, enjoy the view and pretend you're back in the '20's!
