We’re thrilled that Dawn Wilkins will be exhibiting at our next Fair in March. Bristol Vintage know Dawn well; last year she was our very own Fair photographer, documenting the day and running the classic car and fashion shoots. She’s also a photographer who’s really inspired us and we’ve been proudly featuring her beautiful vintage-inspired weddings and gorgeous family portraits ever since.

Dawn Wilkins specialises in wedding and portrait photography and she also offers engagement shoots and hen dos.  Imagine a photoshoot somewhere like Goldbrick House with tea and cake and an optional makeover by a local makeup artist all followed by a fun photo session.  It’s great practise for posing on the actual wedding day and Dawn’s friendly and warm approach enables her to capture people at their most natural.

Inspiring Us - Dawn Wilkins Photography

You can’t have missed Dawn Wilkins’ gorgeous pictures.  Whether you’ve been browsing this site or if you were one of the many guests at our Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair in February, Dawn was the photographer who captured all things wedding and vintage on the day and we’ve been proudly featuring the images since. 

Dawn specialises in wedding and portrait photography and she also arranges wonderful makeover parties, perfect for a hen do.  She’s so warm and friendly that whether you’re a couple on your engagement shoot or introducing the newest member of your family with a portrait shoot, Dawn’s approach will capture you at your most natural.

Inspiring Us - Pete Cranston Photography

Pete Cranston is in the enviable position of being able to do the job he loves and he loves that job very much. After all with him, you’re not just hiring a photographer - you’re hiring someone who loves what he does and it shows. You only have to take a look at his pictures to see that. 

When it comes to weddings, he’s got it spot on… out go the static pose and cheesy grins and in come a collection of pictures that will make you smile when you remember the fun you had. He’ll capture your day in a style that’s both timeless and cool, so there’s nothing dated about photos that you’ll treasure, forever. Pete’s a lovely guy too, easy to talk to and happy to meet you for a cup of tea or a pint to talk about your plans and his pictures.

He doesn’t charge an hourly rate and all packages include a pre-wedding photo shoot, full wedding day coverage (from bridal preparations through to last man standing), an online gallery to share images with friends and family and a DVD with high-resolution retouched images, which you’re free to get these printed wherever you please. He also has some beautiful, bespoke albums and frames available and he photographs weddings everywhere, from the Scottish Highlands to Norway as well as the odd destination wedding.

Coming up, he’s got a wonderful humanist wedding in Wales and a bunch of pre-wedding shoots for some really interesting couples. The coming year looks set to be filled with tattooed brides and grooms, yurts, hay bales and beautiful scenery. He’s also been involved with different charities throughout Bristol providing family photo shoots for their fundraising auctions.

We at Bristol Vintage are inspired by Pete’s passion and the beauty he instills in his photos.  He really seems to capture each couple and lets their personality and joy shine whether it’s an intimate winter wedding or a two-day pirate themed extravaganza. Bristol Vintage has their very own photographer for the day!  Bristol-based Dawn Wilkins will be taking pictures at the fair, making sure every aspect of all things wedding and vintage are covered.  There’ll be classic car [and bus] shoots as well as fashion shots of our models in their beautiful vintage dresses.
