Pete Cranston Photography

Bristol Vintage is thrilled to have Pete Cranston on board.

Pete Cranston is a brilliant wedding photographer.

Out go the static poses and cheesy grins. In come timeless pictures that remind you of all the fun you had.

He photographs everywhere from the Scottish Highlands to Norway to destination weddings; anything from an intimate winter wedding to a two-day pirate themed extravaganza!

Pete Cranston offers a number of different wedding packages, all of which include a pre-wedding photoshoot, full wedding day coverage (from bridal prep through to last man standing), an online gallery to share images with friends and family and a DVD with high resolution retouched images, which you're free to get printed wherever you please.

Bristol Vintage are so inspired by Pete's passion and the beauty he instills in his photos that we've asked him to be our photographer for the next Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair. He'll be capturing the very best moments throughout the day, so smile, say hello, and if you'd like to find out more, check out his website.

Clifton Hill Costume and Textiles

Bristol Vintage is delighted to welcome back Clifton Hill Costume and Textiles.

Clifton Hill Costume and Textiles is an antique and vintage costumier as well as a haberdashery with a unique collection of vintage ‘Mother of the Bride’ ensembles, men’s morning suits and stunning gowns on offer. They also run a hire, alterations and customisation service.

Since last year Clifton Hill Costume and Textiles has enlisted the help of some very talented ladies, so alongside their wonderful collections they now have some of AMG Costumier’s beautiful creations - think bridalwear corsets, regency dresses and more. Abby of AMG also runs workshops and takes commissions.

Tricia Designs is an innovative milliner who's also exhibiting at our next Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair.  Since linking with Clifton Hill, nearly all of Tricia’s winter faux fur range and her recently launched S/S collection ‘Vintage Curl’ feature a little something from the shop, be it lace, a beautiful button or some rescued 20’s glass beads. Tricia also makes her own lace as featured on the hat below.

Clifton Hill's shop is brimming full of inspiring pieces, patterns and ideas, but make sure you visit them at our next Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair. They'll be bringing along plenty of things old, a few things new and something very special in blue!

Shellac Sound

Bristol Vintage are thrilled that Shellac Sound will be joining us on March 16th.

Shellac Sound are gramophone DJs.

There's no sound quite so evocative of vintage as a gramophone and now you can hire Matt Jones and Kate Wright to play at your wedding reception.

Playing music from the 1920s, 30s and 40s on original wind-up 1930s His Master's Voice 102 gramophones, they will tailor their set to suit your tastes.

"On the beach, in the woods, up the river, or wherever you may be, there is no instrument to compare with His Master's Voice portable" - HMV, 1929.

You can find out more on their website, but do come and see Matt and Kate in action and hear the glorious vintage tones of Shellac Sound at our next Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair. We'll see you there!

WE'RE IN HOMES & ANTIQUES MAGAZINE!

We are SO thrilled to be featured in February's issue of Homes & Antiques Magazine: www.homesandantiques.com

Take a look at the article here:  Homes & Antiques, February 2014

Last year we were approached by journalist Rosanna Morris to write an article on the Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair for the magazine's 'Fair of the Month' section. We loved having Rosanna and her photographer with us for the day and, judging by the photos I think they enjoyed themselves.

The article really captures the essence of the day and we hope it will give you a taste of what to expect at this year's fair.

Heavenly Vintage

Bristol Vintage wishes you a Happy New Year and introduces… Heavenly Vintage.

Heavenly Vintage adapts beautiful vintage gowns to make them perfect for the modern bride.

As well sourcing these vintage delights, owner Helena has been busy working on her own collection of vintage reproduction dresses.

The Heavenly Collection comprises of 10 styles, most of which can be varied (different sleeve lengths or necklines etc).

At our very own Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair, Helena will be showing a collection of totally original vintage dresses.

She'll have about 65 unique outfits ranging from Edwardian to the 70's, all of which have been cleaned and repaired where necessary and all in fantastic ready-to-wear condition.

Among the collection will be dresses that show off the elegance of the 30's to the sweet prettiness of the 50's and the boho relaxed look of the 70's.

Find out more on the Heavenly Vintage website and take a look at Helena's new blog. Do make sure you come and meet her on March 16th. It's a real opportunity to see these dresses up close and try them on as Helena's normally based in her West London studio and rarely comes to vintage fairs - we feel very privileged to have her!
